Deleted the wrong folder, or come back from a print shop to find every file wearing a shortcut icon? Viruses conceal far more than they destroy, and deleting only marks space as spare — it scrubs nothing. So the drill is short: drawer, unplugged, hands off. Here the stick is imaged end to end and your documents and pictures get carved from that copy, never from the original. Sticks that died without any drama at all take the same route, straight through the chips.
